This article explains which BTC balances can generate BTC Earn, the minimum balance requirements, and how daily accrual works when balances change. It builds on the core rules explained in How Auto-Earn works.

Which balances can generate BTC Earn?

Auto Earn applies only to BTC held in your Funding Account.

Can generate earnings

BTC available in your Funding Account

Cannot generate earnings

BTC held in a Unified Trading Account (UTA)
This includes any BTC shown in the UTA, such as:
  • Available Balance
  • Margin Balance
  • BTC tied to open positions or open orders
  • Unrealized PnL
Only BTC that is fully available in the Funding Account can generate BTC Earn.

Minimum balance requirements

Auto Earn requires a minimum BTC balance of: 0.00146 BTC held in your Funding Account.
If your BTC balance in the Funding Account is below this threshold:
  • Earnings will not accrue for that accrual window
  • No partial earnings are applied
The minimum balance requirement applies per day and must be met for the full accrual window.

Daily accrual logic

Auto Earn uses daily accrual windows. For each accrual window:
  • Roxom tracks your BTC balance held in the Funding Account throughout the day
  • Earnings are calculated based on the lowest BTC balance you held during that day
  • If your balance drops below the minimum requirement at any point, earnings for that day will be 0
This approach ensures consistent earnings calculation when balances change during the day.

How balance changes affect accrual

Your BTC balance can change at any time, and earnings adjust accordingly. Examples:
  • Start the day with 0 BTC, deposit later
→ Earnings may be 0 for that day
  • Hold BTC in your Funding Account for the full day
→ Earnings are calculated on that balance
  • Withdraw part of your BTC during the day
→ Earnings are calculated on the remaining BTC balance
  • Deposit and withdraw on the same day
    → You may earn nothing
Auto Earn always uses the minimum BTC balance of the day, not the average or ending balance.

What happens if my balance reaches zero?

If your BTC balance in the Funding Account reaches 0 BTC at any point during the day:
  • The minimum balance for that accrual window becomes 0 BTC
  • Earnings for that accrual window will be 0
Earnings resume once you hold BTC in the Funding Account that meets the minimum balance requirements for a full accrual window.

Does moving BTC between accounts affect earnings?

Yes. Moving BTC:
  • Into the Funding Account
→ Allows it to generate earnings in future accrual windows, once minimum balance requirements are met
  • Out of the Funding Account
→ May reduce or eliminate earnings for the current accrual window
Only BTC held in the Funding Account during the accrual window is considered when calculating earnings.

Important notes

  • Minimum balance requirements and accrual rules may evolve over time
  • Roxom may adjust which balances can generate earnings as the product evolves
  • Any changes apply prospectively and do not affect BTC already credited
