To keep your funds safe, Roxom requires secure authentication before allowing BTC withdrawals. This article explains what methods are accepted and what happens if your security settings change.
What do I need to withdraw?
To withdraw BTC, you must have at least one of the following strong security methods activated on your account:
- Passkey — biometric or hardware-based login (recommended)
- Authenticator App (OTP) — like Google Authenticator or Authy
These are in addition to your email OTP, which is enabled by default when you create your account.
If you haven’t activated either Passkey or an Authenticator App, you won’t be able to withdraw BTC.
How to set up a strong method
Go to Settings → Set Up Security and follow the instructions to activate:
- Passkey — A fast and secure option that works across devices and browsers. Once enabled, it also simplifies logins.
- Authenticator App (OTP) — Scan the QR code with your app and confirm using a 6-digit code.
What happens if I change my security settings?
If you remove any security method from your account — such as disabling Passkey or removing your Authenticator App — BTC withdrawals will be temporarily blocked for 24 hours as a safety precaution.
This cooldown does not apply when adding or updating a security method. Only the removal of an active method will trigger the withdrawal lock.
During this time:
- The withdrawal flow will remain unavailable.
- You won’t see a prompt to reconfigure — withdrawals will simply be disabled until the cooldown period ends.
Can I operate with Passkey only?
Yes. If you have Passkey enabled, that alone is considered sufficient to unlock BTC withdrawals.
Alternatively, you can use Authenticator App + email OTP if you don’t have Passkey configured yet.
