How each currency works on Roxom

BTC (Bitcoin)

BTC is the core currency of Roxom. Everything on the platform is BTC-denominated:
  • Deposits and withdrawals: Via the Bitcoin native network
  • Trading: All futures positions and One-Click Trade swaps are quoted, margined, and settled in BTC
  • P&L: Your profit and loss is always in BTC
  • Fees: Trading fees are charged in BTC
  • Auto-Earn: BTC held in your Funding Account can generate earnings
BTC, USDC, and USDT can all be transferred to your Unified Trading Account (UTA). However, only BTC can be used for trading — USDC and USDT must be sold for BTC first.

USDC and USDT (Stablecoins)

USDC and USDT can be deposited, withdrawn, and transferred to the UTA — but they cannot be used directly for trading.
  • Deposits: Via Polygon, Base, or Ethereum networks
  • Withdrawals: To external wallets on the same networks
  • Transfer to UTA: You can move USDC and USDT to your Unified Trading Account
  • Sell for BTC: Once in the UTA, you can sell USDC or USDT for BTC using One-Click Trade (Swap)
  • Cannot buy or trade directly: You cannot use USDC or USDT to open positions or buy assets — all trading is BTC-only
  • No Auto-Earn: Only BTC qualifies for Auto-Earn rewards
If you deposit USDC or USDT and want to trade, transfer them to your UTA and sell them for BTC using One-Click Trade (Swap). You can then use that BTC to trade.

Why everything is BTC-denominated

Roxom is built around Bitcoin as the unit of account. This means:
  • Contract prices are quoted in BTC (e.g., GOLD/BTC shows the price of gold in Bitcoin)
  • Margin and collateral are posted in BTC
  • Profit and loss is calculated and settled in BTC
  • Trading fees are charged in BTC
This lets you track your performance directly in Bitcoin terms, without needing to convert to fiat.
For the full technical details on BTC denomination, see Bitcoin Denomination & Contracts in the Rulebook.
